The United Arab Emirates (UAE) consider the opportunity to play a key role in the BRICS geo -economic alliance.

The UAE, as a country located in the center of the world map and in a strategic location on the south-south corridor, sees itself as a potential facilitator for the development of trade relations between member countries of this block. The Minister of Economics of the UAE, Abdalla Bin Tuk Al-Marry, expressed at the World Economic Forum in Davos the readiness of his country to take an active part in world economic policy and act as a binder between the Brix countries.

He emphasized that the UAE decision on the entry into the Alliance BRICS is based on geo -economic considerations and is aimed at using his geographical position for the benefit of the development of trade and economic cooperation. Al-Marry also emphasized that for the UAE BRICS is not a political platform, and they strive to strengthen economic ties in the absence of political stresses, as was the case during the Cold War.
